Grendel's Mom

Back to Gallery A Sketch Day offering. The subject was Beowulf. Since I've gone a while without drawing the female form...well, I chose to draw Grendel's mom...as visualized in the current Beowulf movie...and when she's at her best anyway. You don't seduce warriors bent on death and vengence without something to incite their lust... She looks pretty good for her age and having at least two kids, wot? Heh heh...even dragon's have mothers! I liked the movie by the way. Nicely done, accurate enough to the story not to distract (as I remember it anyway, it's been a while), and hey, it had Angelina Jolie's butt...animated, but still...most movies could be improved with some Angelina Jolie butt... Pencil on sketch paper...gold tone added in Photoshop. About 11x17" Not "high art" I know...Sketch day items are intentionally quickly done. It's a sketch!
